“Commandments” for Weight Loss Success Part II

Posted January 24th, 2006 by admin

Learn more about today’s weight loss tip; the “commandments” for weight loss success, part II.

Continuing on from yesterday. . . .

  1. Who are you losing weight for. Are you trying to impress someone by losing weight? You should only lose weight for yourself. If you are trying to impress someone else than you are in trouble. Reaching a healthier weight is what losing weight is all about.
  2. Involve not only your body but your mind and spirit in your weight loss challenge. Weight loss success is a three legged stool. If one element is missing, then the stool collapses or fails. Weight loss success involves aligning all aspects of yourself toward your weight loss goal.
  3. Beware of what you put in your mouth. A diet pill offers only a short term fix. Long term weight loss involves commitment to lifestyle changes. If you rely only on a diet pill, once you stop you will yo-yo to your original weight.
  4. Set a realistic time frame for weight loss. We all want fast results, but you should lose no more than 1-2 pounds a week for lasting results. Losing weight in a very short term is unhealthy for the body. A little patience and hard work is needed to lose weight.
