Diet and Exercise Planning: Avoiding Exercise Burnout

Posted February 21st, 2006 by admin

Too much exercise is not good for a diet and exercise planning routine. Why is exercise burnout important to avoid?

With any diet and exercise planning routine, it is important to exercise but there is a fine line between enough physical activity and doing too much. Many make the mistake of thinking the more they exercise the better off they will be. However, this leads to increased soreness and exercise burnout.

The point of exercising is to break the muscle fibers so the muscle will grow stronger. However, if we exercise too much we do not give our body time to recover from the exercise. This can lead to chronic fatigue. How much you exercise depends on your age, fitness level, genetics, and other physical activities. Before starting a diet and exercise planning program, please consult your doctor. Good luck!
