Body building is not about getting massive. Body building means you are building your body, which can mean different things to different people. Here are some simple steps you can use to gain healthy weight.

Set a clear and specific goal. This is whether you want to gain muscle, maintain or lose weight. Calculate the appropriate amount of calories you need to eat a day. Once you figure out what you want to do, you need to make sure that your nutritional intake is in order to obtain that goal.

Determine how much protein intake you need a day. In order to gain muscle, optimal protein intake is necessary for muscle growth. Even for burning fat, it is proven that getting enough protein will make you leaner.
