Diet and Exercise Planning: Dining Out?

Posted March 21st, 2006 by admin

Dining out is a serious problem in any diet and exercise planning program.

Dining out does not exactly fortify a healthy diet and exercise planning program. With the busy lives that we lead, many of us are opting for delivered, take out, or dine out food. However, food that is not prepared by ourselves usually contains a high amount of unwanted calories and fat. In fact, the average meal at a restaurant contains a whopping 60 grams of fat and 1200 calories!

Just one meal at a restaurant can contain more fat than should be consumed throughout the whole day. However, many restaurants have opted for a healthier menu to accommodate those that are following low carb or low fat diets. Remember that low carb does not necessarily mean low fat. Here are a few restaurants that do offer low fat dishes: Applebee’s, TGIF Friday’s, Outback Steakhouse, Chili’s, Arby’s, Wendy’s, Subway, Burger King, and McDonald’s. These are a few of the restaurants that offer low fat dishes. It is up to you to substitute a meal that is a healthier choice. Choose your diet and exercise planning foods wisely.
