Diet and Exercise Planning: Eating Low Fat Foods

Posted March 21st, 2006 by admin

Eating low fat foods while following any diet and exercise planning routine can be difficult.

Many think that diet and exercise planning involves eating low fat foods such as broccoli, nonfat cottage cheese, and alfalfa sprouts. Thoughts of chewing on meager fare can leave the dieter disappointed and discouraged. Dieters can give up all hope of achieving an ideal weight if they are unable to eat the foods they love. This causes the dieter to quit and revert to old pre diet habits.

Weight loss consumers are lead to believe that they must give up all the foods they once enjoyed. This misinformation can be dangerous and self defeating. When the dieter is unable to lose weight through these methods, they feel like a personal failure. However, your weight loss story does not have to end here. Modifying one’s diet in ways that can help you maintain this menu for life. Weight loss success is much easier when small unnoticeable changes are made to one’s diet.

One great example of making a small modification to your diet is pizza. Americans love pizza. We love pizza so much that Americans spent about $22 billion on pizza in 2005 (from the Pizza Market study conducted by Packaged Facts, a market research company). Normally high fat cheesy toppings and pepperoni do little for weight loss. However, many pizza places are offering healthier alternatives. For example, Papa Murphy’s deLITE pizza line offers low carb pizza dough, low fat meats, and low fat cheeses which can help you preserve your favorite delights while maintaining your diet and exercise planning routine.
