Diet and Exercise Planning: Federal Competition Bureau Steps In

Posted February 14th, 2006 by admin

Diet and exercise planning fraud doesn’t have to discourage anyone.

Diet and exercise planning can involve many different techniques. Often we use popular weight loss methods or frequently advertised weight loss supplements. Unfortunately, not all of these methods are legitimate.

The Federal Competition Bureau has step in to protect us for weight loss fraud. Weight loss advocates still need to keep their guard up. If a weight loss solution seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Bogus weight-loss schemes, the department said, “endanger health, provide false hope and defraud (customers) of billions of dollars.” So far, 734 North American companies have been targeted in an aggressive campaign, enforcement officials from Health Canada and the federal Competition Bureau said.

With every diet and exercise planning need, comes marketable products and services. Some techniques can really help us and some discourage. Let’s all keep our guards and chins up and may this years weight loss goals happen.
