The benefits of green tea are not affected by the amount of tea that is drunk. There are not significant side effects of green tea. Some drink up to twenty cups of green tea per day. There are decaffeinated selections available that will not affect the green tea benefits. Some newcomers to regular green tea drinking can experience insomnia or restlessness. However, these effects will soon pass once the body has adjusted.
When preparing green tea, choose small and loose tea leaves. This provides quick infusion. If using teabags, dunk the tea bag on a continuous basis to extract a higher amount of polyphenols. The polyphenols contain the high concentration of anti-oxidants and health benefits. Use boiling water to help extract the polyphenols and do not leave the teabags floating on the top.
