Diet and Exercise Planning: High Fiber Diet

Posted February 15th, 2006 by admin

High fiber diet and exercise planning routines offer many health benefits.

It is important that a weight loss seeker has a diet and exercise planning routine high in fiber. Fiber is found in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Many people talk about fiber, usually when they are in the geriatric age. I know you have seen advertisements regarding such products as Metamucil, and Fibercon. There are many more out there. However, it is important at any age to have a diet high in fiber. This helps to facilitate weight loss.

Fiber helps with weight loss by suppressing the appetite. Fiber provides a feeling of fullness (satiety) which suppresses the appetite. High fiber meals also help to keep one from snacking between meals. Diet and exercise planning routines high in fiber help us keep regular (bowel movements). Also, foods high in fiber have less calories and fat in them. Have you had your fiber today?
