Many disregard the need for effective cardio programs. It is important to move our bodies. This way we burn calories and increase our metabolism. However, many do not consider this type of exercise. What is it?

Swimming is an effective way to cardiovascular fitness. This type of exercise is low impact, which means that it is easy on the joints versus running on the treadmill. This type of exercise is good at burning calories. This type of exercise is effective because swimming to stay afloat requires an intense pace. Remember, I said swimming not just floating. We do not burn too many calories floating.

When we are going for cardiovascular fitness, we have to choose something that allows us to maintain a higher intensity level. A higher intensity workout has a larger impact on fat burning. If your goal is to lose your love handles and get rid of some stubborn fat, start picking up the pace in your cardio workout. However, consult a physician before beginning an exercise program.
