Energy and weight loss supplements focus on a few popular diets available today.

Energy and weight loss supplements focus on a few diets such as Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, and the USDA Food Guide Pyramid that are considered moderate fat diets. These diets contain about 60% carbohydrate intake, 25% fat intake, and 15% protein intake. Moderate fat diets encourage the intake of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and essential fatty acids.

The Weight Watchers diet uses a point system. Food points are based on fiber, fat, and calorie content of each food. Weight Watchers are allowed a specific amount of points daily. The dieter is encouraged to balance their diet using the point system.

Low fat and very low fat diets include the Pritkin Plan and Dr. Dean Ornish’s Diet. The low fat diets contain about 70% carbohydrate intake, 16% protein intake, and 13% fat intake. These low fat diets do not recommend much meat and are mostly vegetarian. These diets allow unlimited amounts of certain foods but not meat. These low fat diets are usually deficient in essential fatty acids, zinc, and vitamin b12. Most that follow these diets find them to restrictive. This will cause them to fail this diet and gain back what weight was lost. Energy and weight loss supplements wants to encourage smart and sensible dieting.
