Many of us know what a stretch mark is, unfortunately. But how can we prevent stretch marks? Here are some tips to help you with stretch mark prevention.

Exercise daily. Regular exercise keeps the body tone. This also helps you maintain weight control. It is important to not gain or lose weight rapidly. Rapid weight loss or gain causes stretch marks. Stretch marks occur because collagen and elastin in the skin can not keep up with fast weight fluctuations. Collagen and elastin are responsible for the skin’s flexibility.

Drink plenty of water. How much water is plenty? Try to drink at least eight 8 ounce glasses of water daily. Water helps keep the body hydrated and the skin supple. Also, apply a moisturizer daily. This will help keep the skin hydrated. Look for a moisturizer with natural ingredients.
