Today’s energy and weight loss supplements focus is the super food. There exist a few foods that could probably be described as super foods that can better one’s health. However, these foods are only super if one eats these foods on a regular basis. What foods are considered super health foods?

The foods that we eat largely determine how we feel and look on the outside. Making a serious effort to improve one’s eating habits will cause a noticeable change in how you feel and look. This change will none the less be positive. Small changes to one’s diet over time can improve one’s health drastically.

Each super food has its own unique health benefit that you can harness to benefit your health. Nuts, especially the almond is a good source of fats that are healthy and essential for the body. Legumes and beans are a good source of protein and fiber. Protein and fiber help to create a feeling a fullness to decrease food cravings and hunger spells.

Green vegetables especially spinach is a good source of antioxidants and phytonutrients. Antioxidants help to fight free radicals within the body. Free radicals are thought to be the cause of many diseases such as heart disease and cancer. Phytonutrients are also thought to act much like the antioxidants within the body.
