If you are looking for a safe weight loss herb, why not try these. Cayenne is a mild thermogenic herb. Cayenne contains the ingredient capsaicin which increases the rate of metabolism and aids in digestion. Cayenne is also used as a spice in Mexican and Indian food.

Green tea is also a weight loss herb found in many weight loss supplements. Green tea does contain caffeine but about one-third the amount of caffeine as in a cup of coffee. Green tea also contains antioxidants and phenols such as EGCG that offer more than weight loss. Green tea is best taken as a tea.

Seaweed is a good source of chromium and iodine. Seaweed helps to stimulate the thyroid gland which helps to increase the body’s rate of metabolism. You can buy seaweed in kelp capsules or sushi. Before taking any herbal supplement, please consult your physician. Some of the safest herbs can have adverse reactions when taken in conjunction with other medications.
