Liquid Vitamin Facts: Absorption 101

Learn more about today’s liquid vitamin fact; Vitamin Absorption 101

Absorption plays an important part of digestion. If what we eat is not absorbed, than many of us would be malnourished. In this day and age, it is necessary to eat healthy. However, this is a difficult task since we have fast food options at every corner. These nutrient void foods do not provide us with many necessary vitamins. This forces us to take other measures.

Vitamins come in different forms: pill and liquid. Many people are out to fool you with absorption rates between the pill and liquid forms. However, I want to assure you that I am not getting paid to tell you this. I am being honest and truthful. Vitamin pills can only offer at best 30% absorption. This is why these pills carry 1000% of our Recommended Daily Allowances. However, liquid form vitamins offer up to 90% or better absorption rates. If you do not believe, then you will find this information in any Anatomy & Physiology textbooks, possibly even Biochemistry textbooks. This is because it is easier to break the bonds in liquid form vitamins to allow for absorption. These vitamins are subject to more time to be absorbed. Whereas, pill form vitamins are more difficult to digest.

Hi, that’s very interesting to know bc I’ve recently switched my mother over to a liquid multi-vitamin. My father swears by the All One brand — it’s a multi-vitamin in a powder form that he mixes with soy milk and banana in the blender. What do you think of the absorption rates of the way this is taken?
