Carrot juice provides many health benefits. Carrot juice contains carotene in the form pro vitamin A. The body takes this form of the vitamin and converts carotene into vitamin A. The body uses vitamin A in the eye by the rod cells for night vision.

Carotene causes the carrot to be the color that it is. In fact, carrots with a rich source of carotene have a good bright yellow-orange color. These are the carrots that are likely to be the best nutritionally for you. Early carrots are pale and low in carotene. Carotene is a fat-soluble vitamin. The vitamin does not deteriorate content on storage.

Carrot juice plays an important part in an infant’s supply of vitamin A. Carrot juice that is consumed jointly with milk increases the utilization of carotene and hence vitamin A. Milk and carrot juice are an ideal source of vitamin A for infants. Nursing mothers are encouraged to drink carrot juice when breast feeding. A good sized carrot contains 50 calories. Carrot juice is very delicious and healthful. Try including this juice in your diet.
