The Big C, Vitamins and Your Health

Posted February 14th, 2006 by admin

Is vitamin C part of our concerns related to vitamins and your health?

The big C (Vitamin C) is the topic today concerning vitamins and your health. I hope to answer your questions on the benefits vitamin C has for your health.

Aside from everyone taking mass quantities of Vitamin C to cure the common cold, our bodies benefit in other ways from this essential vitamin.

Vitamin C is required in our bodies for the synthesis of collagen. Collagen is something that may raise your eyebrow. Collagen is a major structural component of our blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, and bones. You have probably heard of beauty products that have vitamin C in the ingredient list as a collagen boosting agent. This helps rejuvenate connective tissue in the face and skin to reduce the appearance of winkles. I am not suggesting we should wear and orange juice soaked towel on our faces but definitely consider vitamin C for more reasons than surviving the common cold.

Taking vitamins and your health seriously can be done one essential vitamin at a time.
