How can you keep yourself motivated with your exercise goals? Read more to find out how.

Getting motivated to exercise can be a troublesome task. Many of us make a conscious effort to want to be healthier, by purchasing a gym membership. However, going to the gym is another story. We make excuse after excuse to not exercise. Here are a few motivational tips to get you started.

Find yourself an exercise buddy. When we know that we are going to meet a friend, we are less likely to not show up. This helps motivate us to go to the gym. You are then more likely to exercise if you are there. Plus it is helpful to have a friend encouraging you with like interests.

Make a few friends at the gym. Getting to know people at the gym is a good way to make friends. Visiting with friends at the gym helps to keep you motivated to exercise. Also, time will go by faster this way.

You need to set exercise goals. Chart your progress with your goals by keeping a journal or exercise log. A constant visual reminder of your goals may be the motivation that you need.

Finally, reward yourself for your hard work and accomplishments. Try not to think about the big picture of your goals, but set baby goals so you don’t overwhelm yourself with doubt. Before you know it, you will have accomplished your goals. Good luck!
