Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin know as retinol. This vitamin contributes to healthy vision, bone growth, immune system functions, and reproduction. Vitamin A also promotes the development and maintenance of a healthy overall appearance.

Do you know how to get enough vitamin A? Some good food sources for vitamin A are: spinach, sweet potatoes, carrots, kale, tomatoes, broccoli, peas, bell peppers, peaches, turnips, papaya, mango, cantaloupe, oatmeal, milk, liver, and eggs. Males over the age of nineteen require 900 micrograms of vitamin A. However, females over the age of nineteen require only 700 micrograms. Those who feel they are lacking vitamin A should consult their doctor.
