However there are many different kinds of Ginseng available. Siberian ginseng is a very popular and commercially available type of ginseng.

Siberian ginseng is created from the root of the Eleutherococcus senticosus plant that is native to Siberia. Siberian ginseng claims to decrease and prevent stress and stress related illness. Ginseng improves both mental alertness and clarity. Studies have proven that ginseng also improves endurance and overall energy in many athletes. Ginseng is also improves circulation.

Siberian ginseng also helps to stabilize hormone levels to decrease or relieve the discomforts of menopause such as hot flashes and mood swings. Studies suggest that ginseng also supports uterine function increasing female fertility. In men, ginseng helps stimulate testosterone levels. Siberian ginseng also stimulates the immune system to decrease cold and flu symptoms while warding off infection. Ginseng can mimic a period in menopausal women. In rare cases, mild diarrhea has developed. Siberian ginseng should be avoided if you have hypertension, are menstruating, or are pregnant. Always follow the recommended dosage; take on an empty stomach, before breakfast, or one hour prior to meals. Siberian ginseng should be standardized and contain at least 0.9% of the active ingredient (eleutherosides).
