Vitamins and Your Health: Memory Loss

Posted February 14th, 2006 by admin

Vitamins can protect your health and memory.

Vitamins and antioxidants help us maintain good health and protect us from harmful free radical damage. When free radical damage is brought up, the focus of the damage is not the topic of discussion.

The brain is one of the most vascular parts of our bodies. Our brain needs oxygen and is very sensitive to changes in oxygen supply. Free radicals travel through our bodies using the transport median available; the blood stream. Because of the brains vascular nature, it is exposed to a large amount of free radicals. Without defense from free radicals, our brain cells take the oxidative stress beating which can affect memory and cognitive abilities. Free radical damage to the brain has also been suspected of leading to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Free radical damage is a real health concern and a bit of chemistry our bodies need protections from. Vitamins and antioxidants are a simple solution to this complex free radical problem. Protect yourself now so you can remember how when you get older.
