Vitamins and Your Health: Pears

Posted February 14th, 2006 by admin

A pear is a great choice of vitamins to benefit your health.

Your health can obviously benefit from vitamins. Fruits are an excellent choice of many vitamins and minerals but which one? Today’s fruit of choice is the pear.

Pears are an excellent source of pectin (Fiber), vitamin C, and potassium. One pear can offer you 16% of your daily recommended allowance of fiber. Fiber is hard enough to add to an average diet so this abundant offering of fiber is very beneficial.

One pear can also offer you 10% of your recommended daily allowance of vitamin C and 6% of your recommended daily allowance of potassium. If you are on a low carb diet, one pear will cause conflict by supply 21 grams of carbs.

If you are going to add carbs to your diet, a pear would be a better choice than potato chips. You still benefit from the vitamin, mineral and fiber content. Regardless of your vitamins and minerals sources, your health can certainly to benefit from a pear.
