Vitamins and Your Health: Synergistic Effect of Essential Oils

Posted March 13th, 2006 by admin

Essential oils and vitamins can have a synergistic effect on your health.

Many vitamins and essential oils have a synergistic effect on your health. Try mixing a brighter or sweeter essential oil such as Orange, Basil, or Rosemary with an earthy, grounded oil such as Patchouli, Frankincense, and Cedar. If the scent is not to your liking, maybe the dose is too high or it is not compatible with your body chemistry.

Essential oils like many medications can cause harm if used improperly. Essential oils should be given respect because they are powerful essences of plants. However, if the essential oil is used properly much helpfulness can be achieved. Most essential oils should be diluted to 1-3% dilution in a chosen carrier oil (lavender and chamomile are the exception to this rule). Essential oils should not be used to treat or cure a serious medical condition. Also essential oils should not be used if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant, or breast feeding. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions it is imperative that you consult your physician before using any vitamins or essential oils to protect your health.
