Weight Loss Tips: Avoid the Pitfalls

Posted November 30th, 2005 by admin

Learn how to avoid common pitfalls when attempting to lose weight.

Have the courage to look your best and get in the best shape of your life. It takes a lot of courage to do something different. We all fear change sometime in our life. However, change can build a stronger person. When trying to lose weight, here are a few pitfalls to avoid.

Do not compete with anyone. It is good to have an exercise buddy to keep you going, but jealousy will not help. If you are competing with a family member, leave your jealousy in the locker room. You are better than that.

Do not feel guilty if you are successful at weight loss. We may have a friend who is trying to lose weight. This friend might not be as successful at the weight loss as you. However, you do not need to feel guilty about your success. Instead, try to inspire your friend to lose weight. Encouragement will motivate a friend to continue trying to lose weight.
