Making healthy choices when substituting to follow weight loss tips can offer other complications.

Many of us are aware that trans fats, white flour, and white sugar are not healthy choices or appropriate weight loss tips if we want to lose weight. However, some of the foods many think are healthy for our bodies can make us ill. Here are a few surprisingly unhealthy “health foods.”

Many of us who are trying to lose weight opt for beverages that contain artificial sweeteners. Sugar still remains a known assailant to weight gain, but artificial sweeteners are also dangerous to one’s health. Aspartame (Nutrasweet, Equal) is one of the worst sweeteners for us. Aspartame consumption is associated with over 92 different health related side effects including diabetes, birth defects, epilepsy/seizures, brain tumors, and emotional disorders. In fact there are more adverse reactions reported to the FDA about aspartame than all other foods and additives combined.

Looking for an alternative to chemically derived sweeteners that is better for your health. Try Stevia, which comes from a plant and has been used for centuries with no known side effects. You can add Stevia to your weight loss tips arsenal by looking in many health food stores in the U.S.
