Creating your massage oil is simple and a straightforward process. Dilute 10-20 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil. There are many different carrier oils available. Sweet Almond is a great all around oil recommended for aromatherapy massage.

Sensuality

  • 8 drops of Sandalwood
  • 6 drops Rose
  • 4 drops Lavender
  • 2 drops Ylang Ylang

Add these oils to each ounce of carrier oil.

Open the Heart

  • 4 drops Spikenard
  • 4 drops Lavender
  • 2 drops Rose

Relaxation

  • 6 drops Lavender
  • 4 drops Neroli
  • 2 drops Bergamot

Creating your own blend can be fun! You will definitely find that you like particular oils more so than other oils. The most enjoyable oils are usually more effective for you. Changing the ratios of your oils should be done slowly. Start with one drop at a time, mix them, and allow a few minutes for them to blend before adding more oil. Citrus oils (Orange, Lime, Lemon, Bergamot) bring alertness while calming at the same time. Peppermint and Rosemary are invigorating oils. While floral oils such as Lavender, Chamomile, Neroli, and Jasmine are relaxing. Many oils have complex properties that affect individuals differently. Let your nose be your guide to aromatherapy.
