Wellness Tips: Guided Meditation

Posted January 29th, 2006 by admin

Learn more about today’s wellness tip; what is guided meditation.

There are many benefits of meditation that are considered to be side effects rather than the primary purpose of meditation. Many of the benefits of meditation include improved health, improved sleep, and a greater calmness. Also, regular meditators are more attentive and aware.

There are different techniques of meditation. Some are more supportive while others are easier to learn. These different techniques offer a variety to the learner. Each technique is a means to assist you in reaching the deeper purpose of meditating.

Guided meditation is when a voice guides you through the meditation process. This voice can be someone else or your own. Allowing someone to guide you through your meditation can increase relaxation and clarity. Try to use a soothing voice instead of a harsh one. Try to use simplistic rather than complex or complicated words and ideas. Guide with a slow pace to foster depth. Using proper breathing can enhance grounding and relaxation during meditation.
