Wellness Tips: Journaling
Journaling can be a therapeutic way to deal with fears, frustrations, and stress.
Many experts agree that stress is related to many health concerns (heart disease for example). Sometimes journaling our feelings can be the most therapeutic method of dealing with our fears and frustrations. Many I am sure are skeptical, but journaling is like having a one sided conversation. No, talking to a wall is not the same thing.
When we express our feelings in paper, it is similar to letting our emotions out. Many bottle their feelings, but ten minutes a day of journaling can really eliminate some of our stressors. First, we need to identify what we fear or are frustrated about. What is bothering you? What makes you unhappy? Let your pen be your guide when you journal. Express yourself, you might find it to be more fun and helpful than you originally thought. Secondly, how can you change this feeling? How can you make yourself happy? Life is too short, enjoy it.
