If a task is overwhelming for you, divide the task up into smaller steps. Completing this task in smaller steps; allows you to make the stress more manageable and increase the likelihood of success. Sometimes it is good to talk to a friend when things are difficult, this will relieve a lot of stress. If you cannot talk to a friend, counselors and clergymen can also be beneficial.
