Wellness Tips: The Family Doctor?

Posted February 16th, 2006 by admin

Wellness tips often come from great health care providers. Do you have one?

The internet can be a great resource tool to research wellness tips and medical knowledge before seeing your health care provider. Choosing a doctor that is right for your family can be a troubling dilemma. You need to choose someone you feel is knowledgeable and who you can be comfortable with. The family doctor plays an important role in a healthy family.

You need to be able to trust your family physician to give you accurate information, provide you with books, or legitimate web sites for further questions. You should be able to communicate well with your physician. You should be able to ask questions to fully understand necessary information.

Keep a health journal for individuals in the family that document doctor visits, medications, vaccinations, treatments, illnesses, and chronic symptoms. You can also write down any questions you may have for your doctor. Many patients become overwhelmed by the health care providers and simply forget to ask questions. You can also write down doctor advice, future appointments, and further instructions. If you have more questions about wellness tips, do not be afraid to call the clinic and speak with the doctor or nurse regarding your questions.
